Employment Law Issues
The Back to Basics seminar will provide attendees with refresher training on important aspects of employment law, with a focus on how to handle employment law issues from the pre-hire stage through post-termination. The seminar will provide guidance on effective employment practices and policies and offer strategies to avoid litigation.
The morning session from 9:00-12:00 will provide instruction on the appropriate techniques for interviews and hiring, wage and hour issues, employee relations and union avoidance.
The afternoon session from 1:00-3:00 will focus on employee discharge, reductions in force, and post-termination issues.

An optional lunch period between the morning and afternoon sessions will allow attendees to address additional questions with the presenters. The seminar is free to attend; lunch is $10 and payable at the door.
